Our Story: Built on Service and Community
As we mentioned above, it’s been over 85 years since we first planted our roots in Nashville and began serving the Middle Tennessee area. We originally started as Horrell Refrigeration in 1939, before Bob Maynard purchased the company in 1971. Over the decades, we expanded by acquiring several other companies, growing our capabilities along with our customer base. These additions allowed us to broaden our offerings and meet the evolving needs of homeowners and businesses alike. With every step forward, we’ve stayed focused on quality, professionalism, and service that truly makes a difference.
In 2001, we became known as Maynard Select—a name that marked a new era of growth and expanded services. Today, you’ll find us as Maynard Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, proudly serving as the go-to team for residential and commercial services throughout the region. I had an issue with my A/C not working. I thought the unit needed to be replaced because that is what I was told by another technician. It turns out that the unit didn’t need to be replaced. So he saved me couple thousand dollars today. I am so glad I found him and he was able to properly diagnose my issue and resolve it in a reasonable amount of money. I appreciate him so much and will continue to work with him in the future.

After several failed attempts to fix a leak under my sink - I turned to Maynard. Daniel looked at the pictures I submitted and gave me a fair estimate based on my input. He arrived on time and was polite and professional. After taking everything apart he concluded I was barking up the wrong tree. He went about his diagnosis and soon found the issue. He had all the parts in his van and was done quickly. The problem was resolved and I am a new, happy customer. Thank you, Daniel and Maynard.
